The Princess of Empress

Mai KaTi Su Jade

The Princess of Empress is a beautiful little pekingese named "Mai Kati Su Jade". She was my first show peke and the one who got it all started for me. Born on the fourth of July, she was supposed to be a little pet, not a show puppy.

Peter got KaTi Su for me to help me through the bad times after the loss of my mother. Little KaTi did that and so much more.

My Dussi was thirteen years old and failing in health and I knew I never wanted to live a minute of life without a peke in it. So, at three months old, KaTi Su came to live with us. My mother would have loved her. Dussi was there for me as I grieved the loss of my mother and KaTi Su was there as I grieved the loss of Dussi six months later.

I had been going to dog shows for many years but had never even considered showing a dog myself until I saw an ad in the newspaper about a "Fun Match" for puppies. I knew I had the cutest puppy in the world!

KaTi Su and I went to that Fun Match and had so much fun we started going to regular shows. We did some winning and I was hooked on showing from then on.

There are those who have said some unkind things about the kennel we got KaTi Su from but I can say the truth as I know it. The owner of that kennel has rescued many pekingese in her time and KaTi Su was a very healthy and happy puppy. I got exactly what I asked for, from a very caring and kind person.

I have been and always will be very happy with my Princess of Empress, KaTi Su Jade, who rules with a soft paw at Empress.
