The History of Empress Empress Pekingese is nestled under pine trees in the lush countryside of Hot Springs National Park Arkansas. The temperate climate is an ideal setting for raising pekingese puppies.

Hot Springs is considered a tri-lake area having three major lakes surrounding the county. Rather moderate in population, Hot Springs is a slow paced easy-going community. The hot water springs are truly a wonder of nature.

Empress pekingese enjoy a large fenced grassy area as well as an enclosed out door run. They live inside with the family and enjoy the constant attention they desire and so deserve.

I got my first Pekingese when I was sixteen and to this day believe it was the best gift I've ever received. He was a three year old pet named Sandy and I still miss him.

I didn't get another Peke until 1989. Prior to that, I was too busy raising my son and working as a Law Enforcement Officer, to devote enough time to this endearing little breed.

It was then that my late husband gave me Dussi for my birthday. She was two months old, but grew to be a big girl, becoming the one constant in my life, always being there for me. She was with me through the losses of my husband, my father and my mother. She passed at the age of 14 on the 12th anniversary of my husband's death and will always be kept in a special place in my heart.

In 1991 I purchased Mikki, the next little love in my life. He and Dussi were great playmates and he loved to travel around town with me in his car seat. He was only 8 Lbs. He passed at the age of 8 years due to a heart problem. It broke my heart to loose him as he had his own special place in my heart and of course, still does.

Pictured here are some of my pekes today.
